イタリア人デザイナー Lella and Massimo Vignelli（レッラ＆マッシモ・ヴィネッリ）によって、同国の Casigliani（カシリアーニ）社のために1984年にデザインされた Kono（コーノ）コーヒーテーブル。

グリーンに酸化させた銅の円錐形とマーブルのブロックベースがガラス天板を支える、幾何学的な造形が美しいテーブルです。

Lella and Massimo Vignelliレッラ & マッシモ ・ヴィネッリ

マッシモ・ヴィネッリは1931年、ミラノ生まれ。幼い時よりデザインに強い興味を抱き、ミラノ工科大学、その後ヴェネツィア建築大学で建築を学びました。

1950年代前半にはイタリアでガラスランプ等をデザイン、1960年アメリカに渡り、イリノイ工科大学を卒業後ミラノにデザイン事務所を設立します。
その後　建築、家具、グラフィックデザインを数多く手がけました。

1966年にはニューヨークにオフィスを開設すると、案件や人員の数において世界で有数の規模を誇るデザイン事務所となります。1967年からは、Knoll 社のグラフィックや広告などブランディングを手掛けたことでも知られています。

1971年には妻レッラとともにヴィネッリ・アソシエイツを創設。インダストリアル、家具、グラフィックデザインの才能を生かしたプロジェクトに注力しています。

彼らの多様なポートフォリオには、IBM、アメリカン航空、フォード、ベネトンなどのコーポレート・アイデンティティや、ニューヨーク地下鉄、ワシントンD.C.のサインなどがあります。

2003年には、夫妻はクーパー・ヒューイット国立デザイン博物館から名誉ある生涯功労賞を受賞しています。
